Where perception brushes against reality.

My work begins in the moments when my perception brushes against reality. This encounter does not happen all the time, but when it does, I find myself fully present: my mind and emotions align with space and time. I am where I want to be.
From this contact, an image emerges and becomes a metaphor for the encounter. It may appear while I work in construction, travel, or move through an everyday situation. I recognize a beauty in it that is connected to my way of being present: my consciousness observing without filters. My practice seeks to give form to that instant.
This is the center of my research. I am constantly investigating, attending to what appears, and seeking that alignment—the moment that produces beauty. These pursuits are inseparable. It is from this ongoing investigation that I make my artistic decisions.

Mi trabajo nace de los momentos en que mi percepción roza con la realidad. Ese encuentro no sucede todo el tiempo, pero cuando ocurre me encuentro plenamente presente: mi mente y mi emoción se alinean con el espacio y el tiempo. Estoy donde quiero estar.
De ese roce surge una imagen que se convierte en metáfora del encuentro. Puede aparecer mientras trabajo en la construcción, viajo o atravieso una situación cotidiana. Reconozco en ella una belleza que está ligada a mi manera de estar presente: mi conciencia observando sin filtros. Mi práctica busca darle forma a ese instante.
Este es el centro de mi investigación. Constantemente estoy investigando, atendiendo a lo que aparece y buscando esa alineación: ese momento que produce belleza. Una cosa está ligada a la otra. Desde esta investigación continua tomo mis decisiones artísticas.

Education and experience
Professional Academy of Fine Arts “Carlos Enríquez,” Manzanillo (2002–2004), and “Wifredo Lam” Academy, Isla de la Juventud (2004–2006). His CV records work as a visual arts instructor at the Casa de Cultura de Manzanillo from 2008 and as a ceramics professor at the “Carlos Enríquez” Academy from 2008 to 2010.
